A two hours introductory seminar which highlights the changes, details and impact of the new Ontario Construction Act (Bill 142) that will come into force on October 1, 2019.
Provides practical guidance on the revised contract terms and conditions, responsibilities of project owners, contractors, subcontractors and all parties related to the construction industry.
Program Objectives
The implementation of the final phase of Ontario’s New Construction Act covering Prompt Payment and Adjudication Regimes that will come into force on October 1st, 2019. These changes apply to both private and public sector projects, to all parties in the construction pyramid and to all sizes and types of projects.
The training program will provide attendees with the necessary practical guidance on the implementation and adherence to the various strict timelines and deadlines specified in the New Act. Meeting deadlines are mandatory in the Act and missing them might lead to negative consequences.
